PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability of display images for object tissue in unstable periodic motion.
SOLUTION: In a center beam memory 15, beam data collected from a plurality of center beams relating to a plurality of scanning planes are stored. A mutual difference computing unit 22 calculates a mutual difference value on the basis of the beam data of a plurality of time phases, and sets a virtual period to be a temporary period relating to the motion of the object tissue on the basis of the temporal change of the mutual difference values further. A pre-memory 14 stores two or more pieces of tomographic image data in a time-series order. A base image searching unit 24 searches for a plurality of base images from a plurality of tomographic images using the set virtual period. A reconfiguration processing unit 20 uses each of the plurality of base images as a unit for division to divide the two or more pieces of tomographic image data into a plurality of image groups. Then, the two or more pieces of tomographic image data which correspond to one another on a periodic basis are extracted from each of the plurality of image groups, and three-dimensional images are reconfigured.
