PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article a pad inserted into which is maintained at an appropriate position.SOLUTION: An absorbent article includes: an absorbent body 10 absorbing excrement a back side band member 30 fixed to one end part in a longitudinal direction of the absorbent body a belly side band member 20 fixed to the other end part in the longitudinal direction of the absorbent body and a separate back side band member 40 and a separate belly side member 45. One back side member and the other back side member sandwich the absorbent body, while one back side member of the separate back side band member or the back side band member is located at the inside of the absorbent body and the other back side member is located at the outside of the absorbent body respectively.
