Granulated sweetening composition, comprises a slightly soluble polyol having a solubility in water less than 60 g/100 g of solution at 20[deg] C, a hydrogenated dextrin of molecular weight 3000-5000 Daltons and maltitol. An independent claim is included for preparing the granulated sweetening composition, comprising mixing the slightly soluble polyol, with the content dextrin and maltitol and drying the mixture by atomization, extrusion or granulation.
