The present invention relates to a ginger leaf extract which has an excellent pharmacological effect； and to a manufacturing method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the manufacturing method of a ginger leaf extract comprises: a pretreatment step of drying ginger leaves and grinding the same； an extraction step of making an extract from the ground ginger leaves with an organic solvent； a step of vacuum concentrating the extract to remove the organic solvent, and leaving a water layer； a step of adding ethyl acetate to the water layer and fractionating the water layer； and a step of discarding the fractionated water layer, and vacuum concentrating an ethyl acetate layer to obtain a ginger leaf extract.본 발명은 강엽 추출물 및 그 제조방법에 관한 것으로, 본 발명의 일 실시형태에 따른 강엽 추출물의 제조방법은 강엽을 건조한 후 분쇄하는 전처리 단계； 상기 분쇄된 강엽을 유기용매로 추출하는 추출단계； 상기 강엽 추출액을 감압 농축하여 유기용매를 제거하고, 수층을 남기는 단계； 상기 수층에 에틸 아세테이트를 첨가하여 분획하는 단계； 및 상기 분획한 수층은 버리고, 에틸 아세테이트 층을 감압 농축하여 강엽 추출물을 얻는 단계；를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
