PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ophthalmologic image capturing apparatus capable of relating a contrast evaluation value with a position of a focusing lens, thereby enabling focused image capturing of a subject.SOLUTION: An ophthalmologic image capturing apparatus having autofocus function includes: light quantity control means for controlling a light quantity of a light guided to an object to be inspected image capturing means for capturing an image of the object to be inspected illuminated by the light focus state detection means for detecting a focus state of the image capturing means with respect to the object to be inspected on the basis of output from the image capturing means and focus lens drive means for driving a focus lens on the basis of the focus state detected by the focus state detection means.
