The present invention relates to a directional guidance apparatus, comprising: at least one detector (8) operable to detect a user within and/or entering a predetermined region a storage device operable to store an audio output comprising at least one pre-recorded directional and/or instructional audio message at least one speaker (10) in communication with the audio output of the storage device and an audio controller operable to control the audio output to the speaker on detection of a user within the predetermined region in order to provide at least one audio message.
