PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dentifrice composition which has good mouth melt properties, while having a good adhesion properties to a tooth or a gingiva.SOLUTION: A dentifrice composition contains the following component (A), (B), (C), and (D): (A) 40 mass% or more to 75 mass% or less of the total amount of a sugar alcohol consisting of a sugar alcohol (A-1) with a solubility to water at 20°C of less than 40 mass% and a sugar alcohol (A-2) with a solubility to water at 20°C of from 40 mass% or more (B) 0.01 mass% or more to 0.6 mass% or less of a binder (C) thickening silica and (D) 8 mass% or more to 25 mass% or less of water. Further, the content of the component (A-1) is 20 mass% or more to 60 mass% or less, the mass ratio ((C)/(B)) of the component (C) to the component (B) is 10 or more to 1000 or less, the mass ratio ((C)/(D)) of the component (C) to the component (D) is 0.3 or more to 1.0 or less, and a rotational viscosity measured by using a cylindric rotational viscometer at 25°C is 4000 or more to 15000 or less dPa s.
