The invention relates to a hand-held device particularly for tattooing, comprising a handle part (2) with a drive (4), a needle module (3) which is detachably secured to said handle part (2) and comprises a needle (13) that can be moved back and forth by means of said drive (4), and a protective sleeve (33) which fully separates the needle module (3) from the handle part (2).
