PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nose symptoms improving agent, such as sneeze, runny nose, and nasal congestion, effectively utilizing thinned or pruned trees as resources.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a nose symptoms improving agent containing as an active ingredient one or more woody parts and/or leaf essential oil of a tree selected from the group consisting of Pinaceae Abies, Sciadopitys verticillata, and Cupressaceae Thujopsis. As the essential oil, trees of Pinaceae Abies is preferable, particularly leaf essential oil of Abies sachalinensis is preferable. As the essential oil, the one obtained by distilling woody parts and/or leaves of trees with heat under reduced pressure. The distillation is preferred to be performed without adding water, with heat by microwave irradiation, at a steam temperature of 40-100°C, and under reduced pressure of 10-95 kilopascal. The essential oil contains a monoterpene compound having one or more conjugated double bonds selected from the group consisting of &bgr-phellandrene, myrcene, terpinolene, and &gamma-terpinene.
