PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article capable of inhibiting leakage by fitting the absorbent article to the hips of a wearer.SOLUTION: An absorbent article 1 includes: an excretory orifice contact area S1 facing the excretory orifice of a wearer a rear-side area S2 located at a rear side with respect to the excretory orifice contact area and absorbent cores 31 disposed at the excretory orifice contact area and the rear-side area. The absorbent core in the rear-side area includes a first area 311, and a second area 312 and a third area 313 located outward in the width direction of the first area respectively. The first area includes a longitudinal slit 42 extending in the longitudinal direction of the absorbent article and penetrating in the thickness direction of the absorbent core.
