The method involves displaying drive specific status information of driving units (17, 18) of an agricultural motor vehicle (2) to an operator (29) of the vehicle. A critical value of the provided status information is represented to the operator, where the information can be a level of an engine oil, pressure of the engine oil and temperature of cooling water. An acoustic and/or optical highlighting of the information takes place, when the critical value lies outside a reference range of the information. An independent claim is also included for a device for displaying a drive specific status information to an agricultural motor vehicle.
