To provide a method for efficiently evaluating a contribution degree of an odor of an odor component with respect to a composite odor containing a large number of odor components.SOLUTION: In a method, a composite odor is used to a gas chromatography analysis method with an odor smelling port after deciding the quality of an odor which is peculiar to the composite odor, the composite odor is made to possess the quality of the peculiar odor, a peak of the odor component which is high in odor intensity is selected, the composite odor is used to a two-dimensional gas chromatography analysis method with the odor smelling port, the selected peak is separated, a fraction which is composed of a single odor component is dividedly acquired and blended and diluted by a cleaning odorless gas to produce a first simulative odor composition whose similarity with the composite odor is 6 or more, a second simulative odor composition except for at least one of a plurality of odor components constituting the first simulative odor composition is produced, the odor of the first simulative odor composition and that of the second simulative odor composition are compared with each other in terms of similarity, and a contribution degree of the odor component not contained in the second simulative odor composition with respect to the composite odor is evaluated.SELECTED DRAWING: None【課題】多数のにおい成分を含む複合臭に対する各におい成分のにおいの寄与度を効率よく評価する方法を提供すること。【解決手段】複合臭に特有のにおいの質を決定した後、におい嗅ぎポート付きガスクロマトグラフ分析法に複合臭を供して、複合臭に特有のにおいの質を有し、におい強度が高いにおい成分のピークを選択し、におい嗅ぎポート付き二次元ガスクロマトグラフ分析法に複合臭を供して、選択したピークを分離し単一のにおい成分から成る画分を分取・混合し、清浄無臭ガスで希釈することで複合臭とのにおいの類似度が6以上である第1模擬臭組成物を作製し、第1模擬臭組成物を構成する複数のにおい成分の少なくとも1つを除いた第2模擬臭組成物を作製し、第1模擬臭組成物と第2模擬臭組成物とのにおいの類似度を比較して、第2模擬臭組成物に含まれていないにおい成分の前記複合臭に対する寄与度を評価する方法。【選択図】なし
