Disclosed is a method of controlling interference in an electric fence system that includes an energiser module for applying high voltage energiser pulses to an electric fence, a monitoring module for monitoring the applied high voltage energiser pulses and a controller for controlling the energiser module and monitoring module. The method includes the steps of: a. monitoring the electric fence with the monitoring module to detect high voltage energiser pulses b. analysing the high voltage energiser pulses and c. using the analysis to control the generation of high voltage energiser pulses applied to the electric fence by the energiser module so as to reduce the interference.
