The system according to the invention comprises a metal stent (3) as a medicalimplant for treating lesions in bloodvessels and a packaging (1) having an inside volume, in which the stent (3) isarranged in a protected manner. The stent (3) has aplurality of webs (33), which produce a tubular shape with each other, and aproximal end (31) and a distal end (32), betweenwhich a stent lumen (34) extends. The stent surface (35) has a hydrophilicproperty. The molecular chemical impuritiesoriginating in the atmosphere, primarily hydrocarbon compounds, aresignificantly reduced on the surface by a treatment, whereby thecontact angle as a measure of the hydrophilicity of a water drop present onthe surface (35) is reduced in proportion to the contactangle prior to said treatment. The stent (3) is stored in an inert manner inthe packaging (1).
