PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bone prosthetic material having high porosity, simultaneously having compression strength in a degree that collapse is not easily performed even by treatment upon surgery, and capable of more swift osteoanagenesis.SOLUTION: Provided is a bone prosthetic material containing a cross-linked gelatin covering at least on a part of the outer surface and the inner surface of the porous sintered compact of β type tricalcium phosphate or hydroxyapatite or their mixture, and having a compression strength of 2 MPa or more.
