An apparatus is used to form microparticles with a uniform diameter and a great roundness and includes a collection tube, a fluid nozzle, a reactor, and a filter. The collection tube includes a fluid channel. The collection tube further includes a water-phase fluid inlet, an oil-phase fluid inlet, and a fluid mixture outlet, all of which intercommunicate with the fluid channel. The oil-phase fluid inlet is located between the water-phase fluid inlet and the fluid mixture outlet. The fluid nozzle includes a plurality of oil-phase fluid droplet outlets aligned with the oil-phase fluid inlet of the collection tube. The reactor includes a reaction chamber. The reaction chamber intercommunicates with the fluid channel of the collection tube. The reactor includes a mixing member received in the reaction chamber. The reactor includes a microparticle collecting opening intercommunicating with the reaction chamber.
