PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agent comprising naturally originated and highly stable materials as active ingredients, usable as not only pharmaceutical agents but beverages and foods for preventing and treating lactose intolerance and for health application.SOLUTION: A novel agent for preventing and treating lactose intolerance and a novel agent for beverages and foods applicable for health have excellent effects by using fucoidan derived from Nemacystus decipiens as a single active ingredient or one of the active ingredients.
