Die Erfindung betrifft einen Prothesenbasisrohling (1) zur Herstellung einer Prothesenbasis für eine Dentalprothese mit einem subtraktiven CAM-Verfahren, wobei der Prothesenbasisrohling (1) aus einem Kunststoff oder aus einem Wachs besteht, wobei der Prothesenbasisrohling (1) vorgeformt ist und wobei ein Zahnbogen (2) oder ein Zahnbogenabschnitt als Materialverdickung des Prothesenbasisrohlings (1) vorgeformt ist und ein Set aufweisend wenigstens einen solchen Prothesenbasisrohling (1).
