PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transplanter capable of seedling planting in a ridge with a narrow width.SOLUTION: The transplanter includes: a feed device circularly moving plural accommodation bodies 55 accommodating a transplant object along a circular route and dropping and feeding the transplant object downward into a planting tool 28 from the accommodation body 55 having reached a drop feed position and a planting device planting the transplant object to a field while moving vertically the planting tool 28 by a vertical movement mechanism 29 below the drop feed position of the feed device. The transplanter also includes: a seat 50 which is arranged behind the feed device and a worker sits on while facing forward and an operation handle 16 for walking operation arranged behind the seat 50 at a rear end of a machine body. In the feed device, the circular route is elliptic and long in a front/rear direction and the drop feed position is arranged at a front part of the circular route, thereby a machine width at a minimum limit corresponding to a width of the feed device can be achieved.
