The present invention relates to a method for pasteurizing a cosmetic composition at an ultrahigh temperature using a surface scraped heat exchanger (SSHE) method, a method for manufacturing a pasteurized cosmetic composition using the same, and an ultrahigh temperature pasteurized cosmetic composition retaining moisture content before pasteurization. According to the present invention, the cosmetic composition of various physical properties can be economically pasteurized for a short time without changing the moisture content. The moisture content of the cosmetic composition is 40 to 95% by weight based on the total weight of the composition. The cosmetic composition is substantially free of preservatives. The cosmetic composition passes through a heat exchanger of an SSHE to reach an ultrahigh pasteurization temperature of 130 to 150 degrees centigrade.
