PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective cover body for a growing plant which realizes a light shielding structure while securing sunlight transmissivity and can prevent infiltration of a large amount of rainwater or frost and entry of insect pests or the like.SOLUTION: A protective cover body 11 for a growing plant is produced by: heating and melting a thermoplastic resin ingredient 11 mixing it with a blowing agent to generate a large number of large and small bubbles in the molten resin ingredient shaping the bubble-containing resin ingredient into a tubular film F so as to contain bubbles in a peripheral wall of the tubular film F then bursting, by bubble bursting means, the bubbles in the peripheral wall of the tubular film F until the tubular film F is wound into a flat shape, so as to randomly open a large number of vent holes B with different sizes and shapes in the entire peripheral wall of the tubular film F and cutting and shaping the tubular film D having the large number of holes into a prescribed shape capable of covering the whole growing plant E.COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT【課題】太陽光の透過性を確保しながら遮光構造を果たし、多量の雨水や霜の浸入を防ぎ、害虫等の浸入を防ぐことができる生育植物の保護カバー体を提供すること。【解決手段】熱可塑性樹脂原料11を加熱溶融し、その中に発泡剤を混合して溶融樹脂原料中に多数の大小気泡を生成し、かかる気泡含有樹脂原料を筒状フィルムFに成形し、筒状フィルムFの周壁内に気泡を含有させた状態とし、次いで筒状フィルムFを扁平状に巻取るまでの間に筒状フィルムFの周壁内の気泡を気泡破裂手段により破裂させて筒状フィルムFの全周壁に大きさや形状の異なる多数の通気孔Bを不整順に開口形成し、かかる多数の孔付き筒状フィルムDを生育植物Eの全体を被覆可能な所定形状に裁断成形して構成したことを特徴とする生育植物の保護カバー体11である。【選択図】図1
