PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide molecules that selectively interact with gC1qR/p32, and are suitable for selectively targeting chemotherapeutic drugs, gene therapy vectors or other agents to the appropriate tissue.SOLUTION: Methods of treating a disease associated with gC1q/p32 receptor are disclosed in the specification. The methods comprise a step of identifying a subject having a disease associated with the gC1q/p32 receptor, and a step of administering to the subject a composition comprising SEQ ID NO: 1. Methods of detecting the presence of gC1q/p32 receptor are further disclosed.
