PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide tomato richly containing naringenin chalcon which has excellent taste and contains the high content of naringenin chalcon in its full-ripe stage.
SOLUTION: Tomato richly containing naringenin chalcon is such that the content of naringenin chalcon in its full-ripe state is &ge10 mg, the content of the naringenin chalcon does not decrease even when its color-emerging stage passes, the content of the naringenin chalcon becomes high in the full-ripe stage where the tomato has excellent taste. The content of the naringenin chalcon in its maturing stage and/or the full-ripe stage is preferably equivalent to one or more times as that in the color-emerging stage.
