PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin beautifying agent that manifests tyrosinase-inhibiting activity and exhibits good skin-beautifying effects based on the activity.
SOLUTION: The skin beautifying agent includes Dunaliella tertiolecta exhibiting tyrosinase-inhibiting activity. A dried frond of Dunaliella tertiolecta is obtained by freeze-drying cultivated cells that are obtained by cultivating cells of Dunaliella tertiolecta. Extracts of Dunaliella tertiolecta is prepared by adding an extracting solvent to the dried fond of Dunaliella tertiolecta prepared by the freeze-drying, agitating the mixture to extract effective ingredients, and freeze-drying the extracts. The tyrosinase-inhibiting activities are directly exhibited by applying it on the skin. As the compounding agent for beautifying the skin, at least collagen is incorporated with Dunaliella tertiolecta.
