The present invention relates to novel uses of an insecticidal activity substance isolated from entomopathogenic bacteria and, specially, to a composition for controlling diseases of red pepper plants and a control method of red pepper plants using the same. The present invention checks novel effects of indole which is known as a pesticidal metabolite of Xenorhabdus nematophila K1 and provides novel uses of indole as a controlling agent for phytophthora blight or anthracnose based on such results. The composition for controlling diseases of red pepper plants includes indole as an active ingredient which controls the phytophthora blight or anthracnose. In addition, the present invention provides the control method of red pepper plants which includes a step of processing indole on rhizosphere soil in which the red pepper will be planted or is planted, or on the ground part of the red pepper. The present invention can be widely used as an effective method for preventing and treating the phytophthora blight or anthracnose and, specially, widely used for replacing existing chemicals having many problems such as low effects, tolerance generation and the likes.본 발명은 곤충병원세균으로부터 분리한 살충활성 물질의 새로운 용도에 관한 것으로, 특히 이를 이용한 고추병해 방제용 조성물 및 고추병해 방제방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에서는, 제노랍두스 네마토필라 K1의 살충성 대사물질로 알려진 인돌의 새로운 효능을 확인하고, 이러한 결과를 토대로 고추역병 또는 고추탄저병의 방제제로서의 인돌의 새로운 용도를 제공한다. 본 발명의 고추병해 방제용 조성물은 고추역병 또는 고추탄저병을 방제하는 유효성분으로 인돌(indole)을 포함한다. 또한, 본 발명에서는 고추역병 또는 고추탄저병을 방제하기 위해, 고추가 정식될 또는 정식된 근권토양이나 고추의 지상부에 인돌(indole)을 처리하는 것을 포함하는 고추병해의 방제방법이 제공된다. 본 발명은 고추역병 또는 고추탄저병을 예방 및 치료할 수 있는 효과적인 방법으로서 널리 사용될 수 있으며, 특히 효과가 저조하고 내성 발생 등 많은 문제가 있던 기존의 화학농약을 대체하여 널리 이용될 수 있다.
