A bed for self-maintenance of recumbent patients by minimal finger efforts comprises a headboard, frame with attached bed, which rotates around its longitudinal axis into complete upright position, bed of hinged sections, which is removably attached to the support plates configured to hold in the supine position on this or that side of the patient, who has the ability to convert himself into such a position. The plates are made with the posibility to bend in any shape that allows a patient to transfer himself into normal sitting position, behind the opening in the bed a reservoir is removably attached, which opens automatically when lifting the back section, with which the patient transfers himself into normal sitting position, and sealed with lowering of the back section, which allows the patient to make the physiological needs in the absence of the caregiver.
