PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charged particle irradiation system configured to irradiate a beam safely, and a beam monitoring system.CONSTITUTION: A charged particle irradiation system includes a charged particle beam generation device, a beam transportation system, and a beam monitoring system for obtaining the position of a charged particle beam. The beam monitoring system includes: a beam monitor for detecting a passing charged particle beam and outputting a detection signal a first AD converter for outputting a first digital signal based on the detection signal a second AD converter for outputting a second digital signal based on the detection signal and a signal processing device for calculating a position where the charged particle beam passes through the beam monitor based on the first digital signal and the second digital signal.
