Disclosed herein is a pesticidal composition comprising a carboxamide compound of formula (I), wherein R1 represents a hydrogen atom or methyl group, and R2 represents a methyl group, a difluoromethyl group or a trifluoromethyl group, for example 3-difluoromethyl-1-methyl-N-(1,1,3-trimethylindane-4-yl)pyrazole-4-carboxamide, and one or more carbamate compounds selected from group (A) consisting of oxamyl, thiodicarb, carbosulfan, methiocarb and carbofuran and a method for controlling pest which comprises treating a plant or soil where a plant grows with an effective amount of said composition.
