PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new phosphorylcholine analog group-containing polymer which can be used as a film or sheet comprising a membrane or coating film which is excellent in the ability to suppress the adsorption of protein and the like and particularly has both excellent water resistance and initial water-wetting properties, and which can be used as a raw material thereof.

SOLUTION: Disclosed is a polymer comprising a structural unit U1of a phosphorylcholine analog-containing monomer and a structural unit U2of a vinyl monomer containing a polycyclic-aromatic group comprising a 1-naphthalene group, a 2-naphthalene group, a 9-anthracene group, or a 1-pyrene group. The polymer has a molar ratio of U1to U2of 1-99:99-1 and a weight average molecular weight of 1,000-1,000,000. The film or sheet which is excellent in the ability to suppress adsorption of protein and the like and has both excellent water resistance and initial water-wetting properties has, on the surface thereof, a coating film comprising a membrane having a thickness of 0.05-1.0 &mum containing the phosphorylcholine analog-containing polymer.
