Disclosed are oral care compositions comprising an abrasive system, whereinthe abrasive system comprises (a) a firstparticulate abrasive comprising at least 20 wt% pumice, based on the weight ofthe oral care composition, having an average particlesize of from 20 to 300 microns； and (b) a second particulate abrasivecomprising calcium carbonate having an average particle sizeof from 2 to 13 microns. There is also disclosed a method of cleaning teethcomprising applying the oral care composition to a toothsurface, the oral care composition being applied as a paste disposed in aprophy cup.
