PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion generating apparatus, along with an electric apparatus, capable of preventing the deterioration of efficiency of ion generation, even in the environment having much dust.
SOLUTION: Discharge electrodes 3a-3d each have a needle-like tip and generate ions at the tip thereof. A cleaning slider 9 is movably configured between a contact state is in contact with the discharge electrodes 3a-3d and a non-contact state is not in contact with discharge electrodes 3a-3d in order that cleaning parts 9a-9d clean the discharge electrodes 3a-3d. A motor 14 enables movement of the cleaning slider 9. The cleaning slider 9 includes a rack gear 9e, and the motor 14 includes a pinion gear 14b engaged with the rack gear 9e. The other end of the discharge electrodes 3a-3d opposite to needle-like one end is located on the lower side of a counter electrode 8, and the cleaning slider 9 is also located on the lower side of the counter electrode 8.
