PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spool for fishing capable of enhancing the rigidity of a trunk part in a good balance.SOLUTION: A spool is mounted to a fishing reel and comprises a spool body in which a circular truncated cone-shaped trunk part winding a fishing line therearound is formed. The trunk part is formed by pressurizing, heating, and molding a laminate in which a plurality of body sheets 21-24 (prepreg sheets) are laminated and wound. The body sheets 21-24 have the same circular arc shape and the same fiber direction. The body sheets 21-24 have the same winding direction, and each body sheet 21-24 is wound in a circular truncated cone shape.
