Disclosed herein is a pesticidal composition comprising a carboxamide compound of formula (I), wherein R1 represents a hydrogen atom or methyl group, and R2 represents a methyl group, a difluoromethyl group or a trifluoromethyl group, and one or more pyrethroid compounds selected from group (A) consisting of tefluthrin, lambda-cyhalothrin, cypermethrin, betacyfluthrin, permethrin, deltamethrin and bifenthrin and a method for controlling pest which comprises treating a plant, or soil where a plant grows, with an effective amount of said composition.
