The present invention relates to a method for winding a belt-shaped band (1A) around a subject (W), comprising defining a remaining exposed part of an exposed adhesive layer (3) located on a rear surface of a first portion (6) of a belt-shaped band by adhering a rear surface of a second portion (7) of the belt-shaped band to the exposed adhesive layer； and adjusting a diameter of the belt-shaped band by selectively affixing the remaining exposed part of the adhesive layer (3) to an arbitrary position of a front surface (10) of the belt-shaped band. Moreover, the present invention refers to a band comprising a belt-shaped body (1A) having opposing first (6) and second (7) portions in a longitudinal direction； and an adhesive layer (3) located on a rear surface of the first portion of the belt-shape body, wherein a part of the adhesive layer (3) is configured to remain exposed when a rear surface of the second portion is adhered to the adhesive layer such that a remaining exposed part of the adhesive layer (3) is selectively adherable to an arbitrary position of a front surface (10) of the belt-shaped body such that a diameter of the band is adjustable.
