PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image capturing apparatus, an image capturing method and a program, for obtaining a plurality of narrow-band images of different bands.
SOLUTION: The image capturing apparatus includes: a first light reception section receiving light of a first wavelength region a second light reception section receiving the light of a second wavelength region different from the first wavelength region a light emission control section for successively emitting wide-band light which is the light of the band including the first wavelength region and the second wavelength region and narrow-band light which is the light of the band over a part of the band within the first wavelength region and a part of the band within the second wavelength region an imaging control section for capturing the image of the light received by the first reception section when the wide-band light is emitted, the image of the light received by the second light reception section when the wide-band light is emitted, the image of the light received by the first light reception section when the narrow-band light is emitted, and the image of the light received by the second light reception section when the narrow-band light is emitted and an image generation section for generating the image of the light other than the narrow-band light within the first wavelength region and the image of the light other than the narrow-band light within the second wavelength region on the basis of the images of the light captured by the imaging control section.
