PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a sufficient yield targeting lettuce as a typical hydroponic crop, while largely reducing nutrients necessary for the hydroponics.SOLUTION: In a method for growing lettuce (Lactuca sativa) using a culture solution, the hydroponics is performed by adjusting concentration where the underdevelopment of lettuce can be generated by diluting the culture solution by water and adjusting phosphorus concentration and potassium concentration in the culture solution at least either timing of before the start, or during growing the lettuce so that the hydroponics is performed by maintaining the phosphorus concentration and the potassium concentration of the culture solution during growing more than the concentration which can avoid the underdevelopment of lettuce.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】代表的な養液栽培作物であるレタスを対象として、養液栽培に必要な栄養分を大幅に低減しながらも十分な収量を確保する。【解決手段】培養液を用いてレタスを養液栽培する方法において、培養液を水で希釈してレタスの生育不良が生じ得る濃度に調整し、レタスの栽培開始前及び栽培中の少なくともいずれかのタイミングで培養液のリン濃度とカリウム濃度を調整して、栽培期間中の培養液のリン濃度とカリウム濃度をレタスの生育不良を回避し得る濃度以上に維持して養液栽培を行うようにした。【選択図】図1
