The invention relates to a method for raising poultry in a stable (100) having a floor (101), wherein chickens are kept on the floor of the stable and are provided with food and water via feed pipes. The method comprises the step of providing a temporary inflatable divider wall (140) in the stable, by which the stable is divided in a first space (150) and a second space (150") wherein the chickens in a first phase of the raising thereof are kept in the first space, wherein the temperature in the first space is higher than that in the second space, and for raising in a second phase following the first phase the temporary divider wall is removed and the chickens kept in the first space during the first phase may also go to the second floor section.
