PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear handle member in an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus, which is capable of naturally gripping by hand extended from various directions and functioning also as a cable hanger.SOLUTION: The rear handle 26 is arranged in a base 20, which includes a handle body 30 and fixing members 32. The handle body 30 includes a right end part 34, a left end part 36, and an intermediate part 38. The fixing members 32 include two ribs 40, 42. The right end part 34 has a right opening end 34A and the left end part 36 has a left opening end 36A, each of which functions as the cable hanger.
