PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new melanin inhibitor derived from a natural product, which has excellent safety, and has excellent usability even when it is singly used, e.g., in the case of skin external application.SOLUTION: The melanin inhibitor comprises at least either siderophore or the iron complex thereof. As the siderophore, deferriferrichrysin is preferably used.
