An imaging device that moves relative to a subject when capturing an image. The imaging device, for imaging a subject and obtaining image data representing an image of the subject, has: an imaging unit provided with an organic-material-containing photoelectric conversion layer formed continuously so as to straddle a pixel electrode, the layer having a thickness of 0.6 μm or less a lens arranged on the photoelectric conversion layer of the imaging unit, the lens having a field angle equal to or greater than 180°C and an image formation unit for using the image data representing the image of the subject obtained by the imaging unit and forming a spherical image of the subject in which the image of the subject is arranged on the surface of a sphere.
