PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seedling transplanter in which a planting unit is provided with a gear mechanism for changing the operating track of a planting rod so that the planting interval and planting depth of seedlings can be easily varied.SOLUTION: In the seedling transplanter, a sun gear 3 is installed around a driveshaft 1 at the center of a planting case 2 which rotates around the driveshaft 1. A planetary gear 5 that interlocks from the sun gear 3 via a counter gear 4 is provided at each longitudinal end of the planting case 2. A planting shaft 8 having a planting rod 7 is journaled to a front end portion of the driveshaft 1. A planting claw 6 provided at each planting rod 7 is raised and lowered by rotation of the driveshaft 1 while describing a generally elliptical seedling planting track line D.
