PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compositions in which ellagic acid can be maintained in dissolved state even in a neutral region, the composition thereby enabling the expansion of product configuration simultaneously with the improved efficacy of ellagic acid.SOLUTION: The invention provides compositions containing (A) ellagic acid based compound, (B) one or more kinds of compounds selected from borax, ammonium borate, and boric acid, and (C) water. Preferably, the composition further contains (D) one or more kinds selected from the group consisting of a chelator, amino acid, sugar, a mineral salt, a solvent, a polymer, a pyrrolidone compound, urea, amino alcohol, and an ammonium salt.
