The subject of the invention is a composition comprising at least: i) a coupler of formula (I), as well as its addition salts, its optical isomers, geometric isomers, its tautomers or its solvates: formula (I) in which: X represents a halogen atom, a COOH group or an amido group -C (O) -NR5R6 with R5 and R6, identical or different, representing a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group, R1 to R4, identical or different, represent a hydrogen atom, halogen； an alkyl group, or an alkoxy group ,. and ii) at least one oxidation base. The subject of the invention is also a process for dyeing keratin fibers using said composition.
