The present invention relates to an apparatus for detecting a hemorrhage of a brain magnetic resonance image, capable of detecting the position and presence of the hemorrhage by processing the brain magnetic resonance image, a method therefor, and a computer-readable recording medium recording the method. The apparatus according to the present invention includes: an image region selection unit which receives a magnetic resonance image and generates a brain region image selectively displaying only the brain region； and an image processing unit for receiving the brain region image and performing brightness correction to obtain a diagnostic image emphasizing a hemorrhage suspicious region.
