The present invention relates to a novel crystalline form of 5-chloride-N- (4- [N- (cyclohexyl carbamoyl) sulfamoyl] phenethyl) -2-methoxybenzamide solvated with chloroform or crystalline form of glibenclamide solvated with chloroform whose chemical structure is represented in the formula (I) which characterizes by presenting an X-ray diffractogram with characteristic peaks at approximately 10.86°, 11.69°, 16.22°, 18.54°, 18.94°, 19.43°, 20.99°, 21 .88° and 23.11° ± 0.2 on the scale of two theta and an IR spectrum with bands at 338, 3354, 1543, 1716, 1625, 1338 and 1161cm-1. Additionally, the present invention relates to the obtaining method thereof, as well as its use in the preparation of a medication for the treatment of type II diabetes mellitus.La presente invención está relacionada con una nueva forma cristalina de 5-cloro-N-(4-[N-(ciclohexilcarbamoil)sulfamoil] fenetil)-2-metoxibenzamida solvatada con cloroformo o forma cristalina de glibenclamida solvatada con cloroformo cuya estructura química está representada en la fórmula (I) (ver Fórmula) la cual caracterizada presenta un difractograma de rayos X con los picos característicos a aproximadamente 10.86°, 11.69°, 16.22°, 18.54°, 18.94°, 19.43°, 20.99°, 21 .88° y 23.11° ± 0.2 sobre la escala de 2 theta y un espectro IR con bandas en 3381, 3354, 1543, 1716, 1625, 1338 y 1161 cm-1. Adicionalmente, está relacionada con su método de obtención, así como su uso en la preparación de un medicamento para el tratamiento de la diabetes mellitus tipo II.
