PROVIDED ARE A METHOD FOR EASILY PROMOTING THE SOLIDIFICATION OF A LIPID COMPOSITION, PREFERABLY A LIPID COMPOSITION FOR FOOD OR COSMETICS, SAID LIPID COMPOSITION COMPRISING AT LEAST ONE MEMBER SELECTED FROM AMONG A FATTY ACID AND A GLYCERIN FATTY ACID ESTER, AND A METHOD FOR PRODUCING FRACTIONATED LIPIDS WHEREBY THE AFORESAID LIPID COMPOSITION IS FRACTIONATED INTO A SOLID FRACTION AND A LIQUID FRACTION. MONOLAYER PARTICLES OR PARTICLES HAVING A LAYERED STRUCTURE CONSISTING OF LAYERS THAT ARE LAMINATED NONCOVALENT BOND ARE UTILIZED AS A SOLIDIFICATION PROMOTER, SAID PARTICLES COMPRISING ONE OR MORE MEMBERS SELECTED FROM AMONG: (A) A LAYERED SILICATE MINERAL CONSISTING OF A TETRAHEDRAL LAYER (T) AND AN OCTAHEDRAL LAYER (O) WHEREIN THE OCTAHEDRAL LAYER HAS A THREE OCTAHEDRAL STRUCTURE; (B) A LAYERED SILICATE MINERAL CONSISTING OF A TETRAHEDRAL LAYER (T) AND AN OCTAHEDRAL LAYER (O), WHEREIN THE OCTAHEDRAL LAYER HAS A TWO OCTAHEDRAL STRUCTURE, AND HAVING A UNIT LAYER STRUCTURE OF T-O (1:1) OR T-O-T-O (2:1:1), THE SURFACE OF SAID LAYERED SILICATE MINERAL HAVING BEEN SUBJECTED TO A HYDROPHOBIC TREATMENT; (C) A SINGLE-LAYER OR LAYERED CARBON; (D) AN AROMATIC CARBOXYLIC ACID OR AN ALKALI METAL SALT THEREOF; AND (E) THEOBROMINE.
