PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray imaging apparatus which is further improved in space saving and can image the inside of a subject in optimum condition when used for capturing a plurality of images.SOLUTION: The X-ray imaging apparatus includes X-ray generating means, a first mechanism part, a bed and control means, and images the inside of a subject by detecting X-rays with which the subject is irradiated and transmitted through the subject. The X-ray generation means generates the X-rays. The bed includes: a top plate on which the subject is placed X-ray detection means which is placed at a side opposite to the X-ray generation means with respect to the subject-placing surface of the top plate and detects the X-rays and a second mechanism part which moves the X-ray detecting means and the top plate independently.
