The present invention relates to a fusion protein consisting of scFv linked to a horseradish peroxidase enzyme or to an alkaline phosphatase enzyme by a peptide linker. The fusion protein also includes a histidine tag, optionally, an endoplasmic reticulum retention signal. The present invention also includes a nucleic acid encoding the fusion protein, an expression vector containing the nucleic acid, a plant cell transformed with the expression vector, and a method for producing the fusion protein of the invention.
