PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scratching post for a cat which any cat is to be interested in and can scratch.SOLUTION: A scratching post for a cat is characterized in that it has a base part, a scratching part which is erected on the base part, and a storage part which is provided on the upper part or upper side of the scratching part and has an opening for making a stored favorite article pop out. The storage part includes a container body and a cover body that is attachable to and detachable from the container body. The opening is formed at least either in the container body or in the cover body, one of which is installed in the scratching part through connection means.
