PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an MBR image of a gingiva by laser speckle flowgraphy (LSFG) so that even a general person can check the health condition of the gingiva. SOLUTION: The gingiva of a subject is irradiated with laser light, an MBR image is formed by LSFG, an MBR image of an average one heartbeat is formed by standardizing the MBR image by a heartbeat, and an interdental papilla in the MBR image of an average one heartbeat. The blowout time (hereinafter referred to as BOT) and Falling rate are measured from the part or the marginal gingiva, and the rate of change between the measured value at a certain point and the measured value before that is calculated for each of the BOT and Falling rate. Is used as a gingival health index.
